Loyalty to me is lukewarm. There’s no passion or urge. It’s a dull emotion on a still day. Something that you calmly decide to do. Something that people only remember when they are made to choose.
Love, in my eyes, isn’t like this. My love for you is passionate. It burns and it cannot be contained. I don’t “choose” to be loyal. Loyalty is simply a byproduct of my raging love. I wake up everyday and I’m excited to love you because I just can’t help it.
“Meeting you was unique. Nothing like you before. And nothing like you after.”— Un Beau Soleil Intérieur (2017) dir. by Claire Denis
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changin’ ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
